This is what I’ve learned on my journey that I want others to know:
“Fighting my pain harder doesn’t make it smaller. Sometimes the best and bravest thing is simply letting it exist without letting it win. The present moment is where life happens – not in the past I can’t change, or the future I can’t control. So live in the present! And when I can, I engage in something meaningful – I help people, I reengage with life, I make a difference. Getting outside myself and positively into the lives of others doesn’t just help them. It heals me too.“

On my hardest day, I wish I could have told myself this:
“Take a breath and that everything will work out. Someone loves you :)”

This is how someone showed me kindness:
“Made me a wonderful key lime pie!“

When I’m having a hard time, this is what I do:
- Stay positive
- Pray
- Knowing that this is only for a moment
- Take a walk
- Talk to a friend
