
When I’m having a hard time, this is what I do:
“Find a place to go for a long walk, get outside & if it’s a little strenuous – even better to get endorphins flowing. I end up noticing things in nature that make me happy, like moss or the smell of a pine tree, or a family hiking together, or cute mushrooms, or sunsets or beautiful leaves in the fall.“

“Call friends & go get a beer.“

“Self-care takes many different forms. Going for a walk around the park, snuggling up with my cat and reading a good book, or having a chat with a friend or family member are great ways for me to clear my head and find the light when times get tough.“

“Listen to music helps me whenever I get upset. I also really enjoy swimming and that helps me get my anger out.“
