This is what I've learned on my journey that I want others to know: Saying you need help is not a weakness.

On my hardest day, I wish I could have told myself this: Do not give up. Mistakes will be made in life. But keep pushing and showing up for yourself.

This is how someone showed me kindness: People have reached out to me during my darkest times and simply cared. They took me out to eat, listened without judgment, asked questions, and spent time with me in ways that said, "You matter!" They still valued me even when I couldn't value myself. That kind of presence - someone just showing up and refusing to let me disappear - changes everything.

When I'm having a hard time, this is what I do: When I'm having a hard time, I pray Philippians 4:13: I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. This prayer always seems to help me deal with my anxiety, and it helps me get recentered so I can tackle the problem at hand. The prayer does not make the problem go away, but the prayer will give you a tool to help you get through the hardship.
